Maintaining the Beauty of Your Artecasa's Worktops

To ensure that your Artecasa’s worktop maintains its beauty and longevity, it is essential to follow proper care and maintenance guidelines. With a few simple steps, you can keep your worktop looking like new and protect it from any damage.

Effective Cleaning for Your Artecasa's Worktops

It’s important to be quick when it comes to cleaning up spills of common household items like tea, coffee, wine, vinegar, fruit juice, and cooking sauces. These spills should be cleaned up immediately before they dry and become difficult to remove. To clean, use a damp cloth and if necessary, a small amount of our specially formulated Artecasa’s Worktops cleaner. Rinse thoroughly with water to remove any residue and dry immediately with paper or cloth towels. For a polished finish, buff the surface with a lint-free white microfiber cloth in smooth circular motions.

It’s crucial to avoid using multi-surface polishes as they can affect the appearance of the worktop.

To prevent limescale build-up, any water spills should be wiped up and dried immediately with paper or cloth towels.

Protecting Your Artecasa's Worktops from Harmful Substances

It is crucial to avoid using harsh chemicals, stripping agents, or any products with a pH level above 10 on your Artecasa’s worktop. Solvents containing methylene chloride, dichloromethane or chloromethane should also be avoided as they can cause permanent damage to the surface of your worktop.

If any of these substances are accidentally spilled on your worktop, be sure to clean it up immediately by blotting it up and rinsing it thoroughly with water. Dry the surface with paper or cloth towels and buff it in smooth circular motions with a white lint-free microfiber cloth for best results.

Be aware that oils and dyes capable of staining can be found in common food items, so it’s essential to clean up any spills from these products immediately to protect your worktop.

Proper Handling for Your Artecasa's Worktops

Our worktops are designed to withstand heat, but it’s still important to protect them from thermal damage by using heat trivets when placing hot items on the surface. Avoid placing heavy objects or standing or sitting on the surface, and take care when handling objects that could cause impact damage to the surface or edge of your worktop.

To prevent any damage to the surface, never cut directly on the worktop and always use a cutting board when preparing food.

Removing Stains and Limescale

Dried spills and limescale can be a challenge to remove from your worktop. For tough stains, we recommend using Barkeepers Friend cream cleaner with a non-abrasive, non-metallic white cleaning sponge. Avoid using any scouring pads that may scratch or dull the surface. Rinse thoroughly with water to remove any residue and dry immediately with paper or cloth towels. For a polished finish, buff the surface with a lint-free white microfiber cloth in smooth circular motions.

Heavy and Sharp objects

Do not stand, sit or place heavy objects onto the surface and avoid dropping or knocking objects that can cause impact to the surface or edge of your worktop.

Never cut directly onto a surface and always utilise a chopping board when preparing food.
